Analytical Aerial Triangulation
Aerial
Mapping Solutions’ Aerial Triangulation process uses a highly
accurate point transfer device and a well-known and highly regarded block
adjustment program. Our analytical point transfer is completed on a KERN CPM-1
with independent zoom and rotation controls. The point mensuration process is
performed on KERN DSR-14 analytical stereoplotters.

Softcopy aerial triangulation is available and
perfrmed on ZI Imaging workstations. Our mathematical block adjustments are
performed using ERIO Technologies “ALBANY” software.
Digital Stereo Compilation
Aerial
Mapping Solutions’ compilation department uses some of the most
accurate stereoplotters used in the industry. Database information is digitized
on the DSR-14 stereoplotters and ZI Imaging workstations. Each analytical
plotter is equipped with the AP32 stereo-orientation software package. In
addition, each plotter uses the KLT ATLAS/TIN digital data capture software. The
ATLAS software package allows the user to identify up to 1000 symbols and 1000
line types for the creation of the digital landbase data. This allows us to
design our database to cater to our client’s needs. All data is collected in a
3- Dimension and can be output into either a 2-Dimensional or 3-Dimensional
file. Topographic data is collected using the ATLAS/TIN software package. This
package allows the user to create a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and have
contours generated in a real-time environment. The advantage to this procedure
is the operator has the ability to “quality check” their work as data is
collected. We also have the ability to collect a Digital Elevation Model (DEM)
for the creation of digital orthophotography.

Digital Cartographic Editing
Aerial
Mapping Solutions’ edit department has more than twenty years of
cartographic experience, both in traditional hardcopy and digital techniques,
and is equipped with state-of-the-art digital cartographic workstations. The
editing department is responsible for data translations, conversions, editing,
processing, and QA/QC of spatial information. Software platforms used include
KLT/ATLAS, AutoCAD Map 2000, MicroStation and I/RAS C.
KLT/ATLAS is a fully integrated mapping system written for collecting,
editing, and retrieving geographic information. The edit department uses
Pentium III, 1.2 GHz workstations.
The edit process includes a final quality check on all data and translations to
ensure consistency and accuracy in the final delivery format. Data can be
delivered in English or metric units, as well as a variety of different
geographic coordinate systems. Data delivery resources include floppy disk,
CD-ROM, e-mail, ftp site, or hardcopy.
Our edit department can convert and integrate your
existing data into any new mapping data provided. This provides a seamless and
comprehensive data set for inclusion into any Geographic Information
System.
